US Census Records
The United States Federal Census contains a gold mine of information for the family history researcher. Starting with the 1950 census, each member of a household was listed by name, making those available since then, up to 1930, especially valuable.
1850
The 1850 census of Escambia County, Florida contains an entry for
- Rebecca Bell Hall O'Farrell with her husband, Clemson Hall, and family.
1860
The 1860 census of Escambia County, Florida contains an entry for
- Rebecca Bell Hall O'Farrell, in the household of her step-son, Collier Hall.

1885 Florida - An Extra
For parts of Florida, there is an "extra" census. States were given the opportunity to conduct a census on their own between the designaged federal census years. Florida was one of the few states (or territories) to conduct one. This link leads to a transcript of the 1885 Florida census for Escambia County. Interesting entries include:
- Rebecca Bell O'Farrell (spelled Ofarel) and her sons James and Wesley, her daughter Margaret (Maggie) and son-in-law, Richard Eddins (spelled Edins) and their children.
- The family of Corneilus Coleman and Sabra Godwin, great-grandparents of Lillie Belle Wiggins.
- Britton Nichols and his wife Lucy Anna (Annie) Coleman, grandparents of Lillie Belle Wiggins.
